South Dakota Casinos and Gambling
South Dakota has legalized tribal and commercial casinos within its borders. The highest concentration of casinos is found in the city of Deadwood which is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota a short car trip from Mount Rushmore and Sturgis. Deadwood is home to 30 or so casinos, most of which are small 100 slot machine affairs set up in bars and hotel lobbies. South Dakota permits casinos to operate blackjack, three card poker and poker rooms as well. No craps or roulette here.
