The Good: Location, location, location.The Bad: Gaming. I've never won here.The Ugly: The layout. I guess they were stuck with the building they moved into.Ahhh, Greektown--the first 21-and-over casino that I visited. Greektown Casino is in arguably the best location out of any of the Detroit area casinos. It is within walking distance of Comerica Park, Ford Field, and has a People Mover station for easy access to Joe Louis Arena. There are plenty of restaurants and people around and it's one of the safest-feeling areas in downtown Detroit.The casino sprawls over two floors, with the layout not straying too far from the basic formula of table games in the center with slots everywhere else. The poker room is well removed from the main action in the casino, though I've never played there. Some of the slot areas have low ceilings making the smoke just hang there; you won't leave here without smelling like smoke. I've never tried the table games here but last time I checked, the minimums were in the $10 or $15 range. I mostly stick to some slots and video poker here--neither of which offer the best payouts. Actually, I don't think I ever left with more money than I started--but I don't really go there for the gambling. Drink service is good and friendly, but there is no comped alcohol (Michigan law). It's fairly easy to get a quick drink at the bar and there is usually live music (mostly Motown style bands). I would actually favor the other Detroit casinos if it weren't for Greektown's location. This is THE best place to park for Tigers games. The casino is almost always crowded and bustling on game days, but there is plenty of free parking, they usually have drink specials if you show your tickets, and it's just a few blocks from Comerica Park. They have a new-ish (2008) parking garage with an entrance right off of I-375
