Barona Valley Ranch Resort & Casino has some very nice rooms. They're clean, well appointed yet not fancy at all. They're akin to what you might find at a brand new Holiday Inn. Good, but not mind bending.

barona is great. the golf course absolutely rules... if only they served alcohol on the casino (only in the restarant).

I like Barona valley ranch. They've got great staff and they are at the forefront of slot machine technology. They were the first to have ticket in ticket out machines and also have slot attendants wandering the floor giving payouts - no need to go to the cage or kiosk. It does suck that they don't serve alcohol in the casino, but you can always bring a bottle and keep it in your room if you're staying the night. Otherwise filling a flask is a great idea.
