Phish In Indio For Halloween 2009?

Book your flights, book your hotel rooms, book your tickets... all signs are pointing to Phish playing a three night Halloween weekend throwdown in the heart of California casino country on October 30, 31 and November 1st.

Five or so years ago, Miss Monkay and I headed out to Indio, California (near Palm Springs) to go see Radiohead, Kraftwerk, Stereolab and a slew of other freaks playing out there. After scorching in the 115 degree desert heat for two days, we tapped out and decided to get the hell outta there and head back to LA... hitting as many casinos we could on the way back.

If the Phish event is to be held at the same place as Coachella (The Empire Polo Fields) I doubt there will be camping on site, unless they greatly limit the number of cars that can enter... traffic in and out of Coachella during festival nights is the clusterfuck of the ages.

For those looking for hotels in area that have the casino option, check out Spa Resort Casino and Agua Caliente in Palm Springs... they should do you just fine.

didn't know you were a phish fan, chuck. actually another rumor has it that the band may play over at sam boyd, where they used to hold vegoose. i'm hoping for vegas rather than palm springs.
