Crown Atlantic City?

Crown Limited & MelcoPBL honcho James Packer spent the night at Borgata at the end of February, fueling rumors of Crown's potential entrance into the Atlantic City market. Crown has been rumored to be suiting up to make a bid for the Tropicana Atlantic City or (long shot) one or more of Trump's properties - most likely Trump Marina. A shiny new Crown Limited property would look great next to MGM Grand Atlantic City.

Sky City, Harrah's and Galaxy

Apollo Management (the folks who gobbled up Harrah's) spent some time looking over the books of Australian casino operator Sky City Entertainment in late 2007. They passed on making an offer. Sky City named Galaxy Entertainment CFO Nigel Morrison as CEO. Could a Sky City/Galaxy merger be in the cards?

Harrah's Beaches Baha Mar Caesars

Harrah's Entertainment abruptly pulled out of the Caesars Baha Mar project, leaving local business people holding the bag. The reason? Baha Mar Development Company are disorganized and slow. Ooops.

thats a great question... couple that with the crown limited investment shortly after apollo bailed on the sky entertainment purchase and the scent of fish starts to grow doesn't it.
